Top Search Trends & Searches In 2007

As 2007 is drawing closer to the end, we can look at the general search trends and searches that people have performed this year.

It seems technology is becoming ever popular with millions of people all over the world. With HDTV, Web 2.0 and Mac being some of the most popular searches according to Del.icio.us results.

Online video and social networking have seen a huge rise also this year, which saw Google purchase Youtube for $1.65 Billion in stocks. Also, we saw Microsoft making a huge purchase of 1.6% of Facebook for a whopping $240 Million.

So a major rise of user contribution and interaction focussed sites is making a gigantic step forward in the way we use the internet. This is only to rise at an enormous rate in 2008. Huge corporations will always pay large amounts if an online presence has a large consumer base. This is the direction we are heading towards.

Celebrities and politics have and probably always will be widely searched for also. Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, to name just a few.

So as we look towards 2008, it is clear to see that as technology improves, the trend of interaction and user contribution is really going to take off even more than it has already.

Are you ready for it?
