Simon Cowell Has The X Factor
Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that Simon Cowell is a very good businessman.
He currently has a personal wealth of over £100 million due to the success of his reality music shows such as The X Factor and American Idol. But it wasn’t all easy going for Simon, he moved back home when he went bust at 30 years old. But he quickly managed to turn things around and success soon followed.
He very cleverly owns the rights to his shows which means he earns commissions when they are shown in other countries. He gets paid £13 million per sieries of American Idol and a whopping £20 million for a three year deal to appear in The X Factor. He also signs the winners up to his own label when they win, ensuring he earns a lot more money from the sales of their records.
He is regularly offered million pound advertising deals which he turns down. Let’s face it, he doesn’t really need the money does he!
Simon’s latest project is “Grease Is The Word” which is currently appearing in the UK. It is a search for the stars who will appear in the West End version of the classic movie. Simon is not appearing in this show but is certainly heavily involved in the background.
Simon’s career is going from strength to strength and is showing no signs of stopping.
